Why did half my outlets stop working?
Most often a GFCI outlet on the same circuit tripped. Press RESET on the GFCI outlets nearby, including in the garage, basement and bathrooms. If that doesn't fix it, text a photo.
Do smart switches need a neutral wire?
Many do. Older homes sometimes don't have one in the switch box. Send a photo of the open switch box and you'll hear which switch will work.
Can you add an outlet where there isn't one?
